The Department of Information Technology was established in the year
2006 and offered B. Tech program with an intake of 60 students. From 2022
onwards the intake was increased to 120 seats. The department is running with highly qualified faculty members as per the guidelines of JNTUH and AICTE, New Delhi. It has self-sufficient sophisticated infrastructural state-of-art Laboratories. The Department is accredited by NBA in the Academic year 2021-22.The Department is taking care in the academic exposure of the students to the latest domain trends by conducting a series of seminars, conferences, guest lectures, faculty development programs etc…,
Dr. Pullagura Indira Priyadarsini is an accomplished academician, researcher, and academic leader, serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Information Technology. She was awarded her Doctor of Philosophy from Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur, in 2015 and has 19 years of experience in teaching. With a strong commitment to research and scholarly advancement, Dr. Priyadarsini has authored and published more than 25 research articles in Scopus-indexed and other reputed international journals. She has been actively involved in organizing and coordinating national and international conferences, workshops, and technical events, serving in key roles including Convener. Her dedication to academic mentorship is reflected in her guidance of nearly 80 B.Tech. and M.Tech projects, enabling students to translate innovative ideas into meaningful technical outcomes.
Dr. Priyadarsini has also made notable contributions to the academic peer-review community. She has served as a Reviewer for the International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Data Engineering (ICCIDE-2017 and ICCIDE-2018) and the International Conference on Artificial Intelligence Trends and Pattern Recognition (ICAITPR-2022), besides reviewing manuscripts for several international journals.
In addition to her teaching and research responsibilities, she has undertaken significant academic and institutional roles, including IQAC Coordinator and Board of Examiners (BOE) at reputed engineering institutions. She holds an M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering from Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering and a B.Tech. from RVR & JC College of Engineering. Her academic journey is distinguished by a strong scholastic record and a commendable performance in GATE. She has been ratified as Associate Professor from JNTU Hyderabad and serving as a Research supervisor in JNTU, Hyderabad.
